It’s a pleasure to meet you. I am Ann LaFranca, MD and I am a Board Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist. My educational background includes Dominican High School in New Orleans, a Bachelor of Science from LSU in Baton Rouge, my Doctorate from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, and Residency training through LSU Affiliated Charity and State Hospitals. My husband and I moved to Baton Rouge in 1993; we have children currently attending Catholic High School and St. Thomas More. Baton Rouge is our community. I have served at Womans Hospital as OB Chief of Staff, Member of the Executive Committee, and Chairperson for Pharmacy and Theraputics, Medical Review, and OB Patient Care Committees. I am a volunteer physician examiner for the District Attorney’s Rape Crisis Intervention Team and serve at CHS and STM on several ministries including Spiritual Life, weekend Lector, Room Mother, and the Mothers’ Club.

I am trained in all current facets of gynecologic surgery including abdominal, laparoscopic, and Robotic hysterectomy, laser, laparoscopy, Leep, Novasure and Thermachoice endometrial ablations, and Essure to name a few. I treat low and high risk obstetrics, endocrine and infertility disorders, menopause, and menstrual dysfunction as well as other women’s health issues.

I enjoy working with my patients in a caring atmosphere committed to excellence. I look forward to serving you and your family.
